Plano Concave Cylindrical Lens
Plano concave cylindrical lens consists of a plane and a concave cylindrical surface, with a negative focal length that can change the ratio of width to height of an image.it have similar effects to the plano concave spherical lenses and are suitable for shaping point light sources in one-dimensional directions. A typical application of it is to use a single plano concave cylindrical lens to convert a collimated laser beam into a linear beam (acting only on one axis). In order to minimize spherical aberration, the concave surface of the lens should face the light source when diverging the beam.
